Subject	Question on CA emissions & gas

Message	I just found out for sure that I will be getting stationed in San Diego at the end of the year. I was reading the website of my upcoming ship and they said to get a base decal, I need to pass CA smog testing even if I am registered out of state. I currently have a JWT Stage III Federal emissions ECU. I'll be sending it off to get it reflashed for my 555's but would I be better off getting it reflashed for CA emissions too for the few years I'll be in San Diego? My next question is regarding AIV's, EGR, & carbon canister. I know the ECU disables the AIV's & EGR anyway but will I pass with them removed? I'm not sure if they do visual for out of state registration. Will a carbon canister removal screw me or should I be fine on that one?
